So, I'd first like to take a moment to apologize to anyone who views my stream for photos of the kids or projects- because, OMG this thing is probably not what you wanted to see. Probably a good time to note that I have a bugs set- really, I'm sorry and I hope you weren't eating. ;)

This giant really unattractive dude wandered across the driveway while my husband went out to check the mail. He came in all excited about some "creature that wasn't a snake or worm or caterpillar" crawling across our driveway- he didn't know what it was, but, he knew I'd want to take pictures of it.

I know it's a big beetle larvae from videos of them being kept as pets (!!) in Asia- and we see big Rhino beetles in the summer, so that's my best guess. I have never had the pleasure of meeting a baby before, though- wow. They are fabulously creepy things.
